We are thrilled to announce that we will be starting an elementary/middle school aged Playgroup in May. It will meet on the third Saturday of every month at Center Church in South Hadley, hosted by Emily Mulder. Emily is a mom of a 9 year old child with Down syndrome (Amos), a former special education teacher, and a huge fan of Center Church.
The first meeting will be Saturday, 18th of May in the fellowship hall at Center church from 10 to 11:30. The fellowship hall is a large gym like area, which is handicapped accessible through the entrance on the north side of the church. There are elevators to the restrooms. We will have several different activity stations set up in the fellowship hall, including a puppet area, an art area, and an area for younger children with toys appropriate to that age group, and a dance area. We ask that parents stay, both to enjoy watching children and to connect with one another. Families who have children with Down syndrome of different age group groups are very welcome to attend.
