Happy New Year 2024! I hope you enjoyed a beautiful holiday season and are beginning the New Year rested and renewed! Below is a letter I shared via email of the recent changes to the Board of the DSRG:
In September, you should have received a letter from the then Board of Directors announcing that they would be resigning and that unless new board members came forward, the group would be forced to disband. I am happy to inform you that several individuals have come forward and the group will continue. The new board of directors is as follows:

I would like to express our gratitude to the outgoing board members, Jennifer Johnson and Melissa English for all their years of hard work and incredible commitment to our community.
Moving forward, I am so encouraged by the enthusiasm and talent that this new board brings to our community. I am so very grateful to them all. Thank you for your patience as we work to assess the needs of our diverse Down syndrome community and determine how to best meet them. I am excited to see what we all can create together! We hope you will join us and share your time and talents. Please look for future communications and surveys from the board, and let us know if you are able to help!
We are working on our methods of communication. We will be sending emails through Constant Contact. We plan to send out this newsletter quarterly. Look around the website and you will find information about events, resources, volunteer opportunities and contact information.
We have a Facebook page DSRGWM Family Support. This is a private page only seen by members. We welcome you to share resources and ask questions of the community on this page.
We have some exciting events coming up so please mark your calendars.
